MaX
So I'm thinkin of savin my money(I'm 16 haha) and buyin a dirt bike, but I'm not sure what to get. I'm around 5"7'~5"8' and weigh about 125lbs, do you guys think I should get a 250(thinkin about a yz250, or a crf250r) or just step it down and get a 125? also, I dont have much experience on dirt bikes, but ive raced mountain bikes for five years if that counts towards anything lol Quote <div align='center'>03 RAV4 18" DC Level 4 XL Knukonceptz 1/0 gauge AudioQue 2200D 6.25 cubic foot box tuned to 32 hz DB Linc 200 Amp H/O ALT 1/0 BIG III</div>
raytard
250 2 strokes are alot of bike to handle if youre not too experienced id say the 125 or a 250ish 4-stroke, im a big fan of the relliability/no mixing/low torque of 4 strokes Quote Build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...hl=avalon+build monster/rockford/kicker/stinger cables, pioneer source, jbl highs/amps, kinetik/shuriken batts, iraggi alt, dei security, dc subs(atleast for now) Team DC
MXmike800
i woudlnt hop on a 250 2 stroke for a first bike id try a 250F four stroke it doesnt have a crazy powerband but it has tons of power. its all up to you man i been riding 11 years i started on a xr 70 then progessed from that to a 65 then a 250 it was a big step but just take it slow

qu1cks1lver56
if i was you id get a 125 2 stroke. a 250 (four stroke or not) is alot to handle especially if you dont have much experience. we had a kx250 2 stroke and im 6'3 280 and i couldnt hardly keep the front wheel on the ground. and quad experience doesnt trade off to 2 wheels experience IMO Edited March 30, 2009 by qu1cks1lver56 Quote First Gen Xterra: Always changing DNX 690HD RF 360.3RF T3002RF T4004RF T10001bdSilver Flute 6.5"s Tang Band 1" TweetersSundown X18 in 7cubes net tuned to 32hz Trust me .25 Blows your Load. BURRITO
if your not going to race it the crf250r is a perfect bike for your size and weight! MaX
sheesh talk about mixed opinions haha...I hink what I need to do is go down to my local shops (Honda and Kawasaki) and test fit some bikes to see which I'm more comfortable on...at the moment I'm leaning towards a 250 because I'm more of a speed and power freak, but if I dont feel comfortable on it, I'll go with a 125 Quote <div align='center'>03 RAV4 18" DC Level 4 XL Knukonceptz 1/0 gauge AudioQue 2200D 6.25 cubic foot box tuned to 32 hz DB Linc 200 Amp H/O ALT 1/0 BIG III</div>

Noobtastic14
Yz250F Ftw 125/250F in a moto frame will be roughly the same size- just slightly different weight. I defiantly vote 4 stroke over 2 -Drew Quote I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional.
