troy
what is the difference between the kicker ds and ks series? any advantage over either? retarded build on the way..... 2000 bagged s10 2 hdc3 15s aq2200 aq4x90 stinger/knu wire optima batteries 220 amp alt fosgate hu/mids and highs
Zade08
Had the ds never really cared for them. they started to distort on my headunit. Swapped to the ks and they screamed. Even had a couple sets off my 50.4 till I swapped them for comps and couldnt get enough of them. If you get the ks comps dont expect much for mid bass though. Ks tweeters are great btw. Thankin about swappin back after my quarts go. Vehicle: 2001 Ford Escape Head Unit: Kenwood Kdc-x592 All out for a rebuild. New shit coming in the next 30 days. Zade08
i think i am going to get a set of ks coax 5.25s. Id just get the ks coaxles to fill the stock location and just pic you up a set of ks 25 tweets to run up in the a pillars. Had that in my suv and it was the shit. Perfectly complimented my 2 cvr 12s. Vehicle: 2001 Ford Escape Head Unit: Kenwood Kdc-x592 All out for a rebuild. New shit coming in the next 30 days. troy
what about a set of by9's should i just remove the stock ones and ad a set of tweets or just replace them with better speakers? retarded build on the way..... 2000 bagged s10 2 hdc3 15s aq2200 aq4x90 stinger/knu wire optima batteries 220 amp alt fosgate hu/mids and highs
raytard
they're solid nice speakers, especially for the price the ds's just dont sound as good, distort with anything more than headunit power Build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...hl=avalon+build monster/rockford/kicker/stinger cables, pioneer source, jbl highs/amps, kinetik/shuriken batts, iraggi alt, dei security, dc subs(atleast for now) Team DC

Zade08
I would say get the 3 way 6x9s. I had those fuckers and they were so loud. I still say just replace all of your stock speakers with the ks coaxels and run you a set of tweets up front off a small amp. Zade08
The 3 way 6x9s do great for rear fill. I had the 2way 6x8s in my doors the 3 way 6x9s on top off the box like a rear deck and the tweeters up front and it did very well.
