Windshield Wiper Motor Replacement

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, looks like my wiper motors are busted. Have never seen this before on any other vehicles I've owned or used. How easy would these be to replace myself? I drive an 01 Impala. Been looking around for replacements and see prices all over the place, from 30-100 bucks. Not sure how to do this myself.

Replacing the windshield wiper motor isn't hard at all. Took me about 5-10 minutes to replace the one in my T-Bird, and I think I paid like $40 for it. Try Google our get yourself a Chilton book. Definitely comes in handy in case you have any other problems.

a good tip if ya DIY is dont put the arms on until ya plug in the connections and let em rotate and turned back off so it makes lining em up easier. i learned that the hard way my first time replacing one and it was on a big burban :D hope this helps too and its not too hard. just take your time and no probs
