chatttown423 Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 Hello everyone, i know i havent posted on here in a while but i got a question. I think i might be able to get a pretty good deal on a nice system but i need to test it. So, how can i test an amp and a set of subwoofers without actually hooking it all the way up in a car? thanks,
Neo_frog Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 Just use a power supply or a strong car battery that's fully charged to test it with sound. If you just wanna make sure things work without sound, hook up + and REM to + on batt and - to - to check 'power on'. Testing the subs requires an ohmmeter and a 9V battery (or similar). Pop test each coil with the battery and measure the impedance to ensure they are as stated. Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions?
