Painting Amps?

hey you guys..i got a jl 1000 and its a lil scratched up so i was thinking of painting together with a jl 450/4 paint them both black. but kinda cant decide wat to do cause if i paint them im going to loose the gains.settings.and in the front the jl audio logos and more importantly the warning lights..what do you guys suggest.

i suggest u hide the amps and painting is a no no.

i saw a setup where just the face of the amps was seen and liked the look.cant figure out how to add pics if not id show an example..

A pic will be nice.

Maybe sand and polish the scratches and it's going to look brand new. Even you can get it to mirror effect. lol

I've seen amps painted a few times, my only suggestion would be using a paint designed for high heat applications

I wouldnt spray paint a amp but if you do use a high heat good quality paint and tape off areas you want to keep...

take the amps somewhere and get them air brushed tht would be tight
