BigJohnny
I've been looking at some of the wiring on my car as I plan for the big 3 (I just need to buy the wires... but i'm friggin broke) and I notice that my alternator power cable runs down to my starter, and then back to my battery. There doesn't appear to be any kind of direct connection from my battery to my alternator. So when I do the big 3, do I need to upgrade the wire running from my alt>starter>battery or can I just add another wire that goes directly from alt>battery leaving the starter wire alone? qu1cks1lver56
i'd do a run from the alt to the battery. and maybe a run from the starter to the battery too, might make it spin over quicker/easier. BigJohnny
So adding a wire from alt to battery directly shouldn't cause any problems? I am considering upgrading the wire to the starter, but I don't think it will be 1/0 if I can run a wire directly to the battery.... maybe just a little larger than the existing wire.
