Tranfering A Car Into My Name.

i have a car that i been driving i bought from my dads girlfriend. about a year ago..

been paying the insurance on it just never had put in my name.

so next month is time to renew my registration..

so might as well put it in my name..

i dont have to smog it this year.. cause i did last year.

but will i have to resmog it if i put it in my name?

and im also on her insurance policy, so i will be getting my own..

do i get my own insurance while its in her name or do i get it after i put it in mine?
