Soundstorm Amps

just shopping around looking at speaker amps for a buddy and ran across a soundstorm 4-channel for about $50. Are these reliable amps? I think i've seen soundstorms running subs a lot on this forum, i thought i would check if they are good on speakers as well... They will be powering either 5.25 or 6.5's, undecided, and my old sony x9's. Said buddy is looking to get away from this as cheaply as possible, doesn't need to be fancy (it would be going in a 73 'Stang with full exhaust and such so he probably won't be using it much). Any advice/past experiences?

EDIT to note that the 'front' speakers will be mounted where PO put some craptacular 6" Ford speakers, in the 'door panel' (side panel?) by the back seats, pointing forward. They will not be in factory location (which is ONE 3.5" in the dash.)

Too many projects, too little time...

i say dont get it most people here run maybe sundown audio or soundstream but never soundstorm, wont give the speakers good power anyways.

That's why they don't deliver.

Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait.

You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start :D

I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.

ATTENTION ALL SMD MEMBERS: Do not under any circumstance buy anything from Chassistech! They do not stand behind their products & their customer service is horrible. They do not actually manufacture lowering springs, they drop ship them from Spring Tech. Chasistech.com also does business as Airbagit.com, Streetridepro.com & Truckinsuspension.com. They are all the same company! Do not trust these bastards! Their products are cheap & more often than not, you don't get what you actually order in the first place! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

I recommended <50W rms for him. The Sony pair he already has are rated at 65 rms and hes looking at about the same rms for the 'fronts'
