sean 371
Problems...I spliced that pink wire into my accessory wire. Still no sound coming out. Any reason why this would be? Steve? Seeing as you did it too maybe you can shed some light. AP Zoutes
So I ripped out my cd player just for you Here is the main harness, as you can see some jackass before me cut the wires on the other side of the harness and then some other jackass used crimp instead of solder, but I left it for now. Here is the pink wire spliced into the turn on from my new cd player Here is the old harness from where the pick wire came Here is a harness I found in back that looks the same as the secondary one of the factory h/u. I don't know if this is normal or need to be done. But it looks like it was already there. See what you have. Hope this helps.
sean 371
I don't seem to have that harness in there... Did the previous owner put in a new h/u at all? That might be where thats from... Well I think I'll head over to Al and Ed's tomorrow if all else fails and let them look at it. Just looking, no touching, don't worry haha A couple links to some box builds: Tahoe Box 1, Tahoe Box 2, Nissan Titan, VW GTI, Mini-Bump, Hummer H2, Ford F-150 My own car builds (current setup --- under construction): Overall Thread, Kickpods, Dash, Back Doors Subwoofer Wall
AP Zoutes
by the looks of things that wasn't added by the previous owner. everything he did looks like shit and that was tucked way back there. make sure you connected the wire heading to the amp and not to the harness. sean 371
Whereabouts did you find the harness? And was it plugged into anything when you found it? Thanks for all the help, this thing is pissin me off haha A couple links to some box builds: Tahoe Box 1, Tahoe Box 2, Nissan Titan, VW GTI, Mini-Bump, Hummer H2, Ford F-150 My own car builds (current setup --- under construction): Overall Thread, Kickpods, Dash, Back Doors Subwoofer Wall
AP Zoutes
yeah it was just like it is now. just way in back behind the metal bracing for the dash. I didn't hook up the seconday harness to anything just took the wire of and connected to amp
sean 371
Yea that must have been installed aftermarket, or we have different stock setups. I can't find that on my car. I'll take it over to a few shops tomorrow and see what they can tell me. Thanks for all the help tho, I appreciate it.
