brewer_brewer
to get the adhesive off i use adhesive remover. goo-b-gone. aircraft adhesive remover. anything like that. once you clean the stuff off, give that area a good scrub and wash with some soap and water, because it kind of leaves a greasy residue. BJD3
Personally, I prefer the Escalade style handles. The ones where the surround is body color, and the pull is chrome. But you have one of my favorite years. Not a fan of the 03 and up. One thing I will say is put the tailgate cover back on until you either do body work or get a hole-less tailgate. Don't know about him since his are chrome, but depending upon how you want to do it, you can sand your current ones down and paint them, or buy new ones and paint those. Or were you looking for instructions on how to remove the handles? Quote Anti Peel and Seal...lol You may be offended by the above. ToppDogg
Well what I was planning was to get escalade handles.. they are a match for these trucks.. Heres a nice write up Click Here of course now I can't find the place on ebay that had a set for mine.. its cheaper to sand them down.. but if your like me and have no talent for that sort of thing.. its easier to buy.. Edit: the chome on mine are just Putco stick on's.. they look nice tho for the $20-$30 i spent on them Edited April 19, 2009 by ToppDogg Quote Click Here for ToppDogg.Com Click Here for Myspace.Com Click sig for mod list and more pictures
