Ive got a 99 explorer. I did my first meter yesterday and did a 143.3, one of my problems is that the rear hatch, rear windows, and doors are letting everything out, anybody have any recomendations?

i've never had to worry about that but my buddy has a 96 explorer doing about 145 and i tell him to put a thicker layer or weather stripping (to keep constant pressure) or seal it up with caulk... what are you running?

What about taking the hatch pannels off and filling between the 2 skins with Great Stuff spray foam to stiffen it up and would make it a little heavier. same with the pannels in the back.

I'm running 4 15" lanzar max pro's, subs up port back on 2 mtx 1501d's. I'm not worrying about layering it, I'm talking about the whole back hatch leaking air. Maby just a hell of alot of weatherstripping?

Considering it's a 99 I'm betting it's never been replaced. If you check out certain websites, you can buy thicker weather stripping as a replacement to keep the door sealed "better".

But if you just wall it, you won't have to worry about the back hatch. :D

What do you have to trade?

I was joking lol. But if that rattle is too much you could always downgrade to my infinity 12's if you would like, I assure you they won't rattle no hatches.
