HPI_Savage25 Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 Ok so I am going to redo my interior soon and I want to do some neon tubes on the inside. My friend has one that plugs into the cigarete lighter and beats to the music or you can set the sensitivity up where it stays on all the time. Anyways I only have (1) 12v plug-in and would rather run it off of my battery if that is possible and someone makes one that hooks up that way. What is my options? Ignantfi3d Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 If you plan on adding more in the future, what I would do is run 8ga cable from your battery into your car somewhere under the dash. Get yourself a small fuseblock (found at radioshack) and run the 8ga to that. Then, run whatever neons you want to a on/off switch, then to the fuse panel you installed. Just make sure to ground the neons to metal, and you're golden. 1996 Vw Jetta Crunch 1500watt 1- Kicker 15" L7 @ 1ohm in a 4cu. ft. All you have to do is splice some wires if it comes with a cigarette lighter plug. Now nothing was mentioned about wanting to know a good place to buy lights etc, but to add to sphinx, oznium.com is another good place many people swear by and I feel I should make sure you know about.
