Yeah see but I'm talking about all of the technical things with it, like the Contrast Ratio, Aspect Ratio, and Panel Resolution type stuff. I have no clue what any of that means.

its a 720p, which is midrange hi def.. you had standard tv.. 720, and 1080, 1080 being the better. But 720 does still look extremely good. 30000:1 contrast ratio is a little low for plasma, LCDs can do that contrast ratio, but again its not bad.

not bad for the price

I'd hit that so fucking hard whoever pulled me out would be King of England.

Lol... looks like we were on the same page. Car-B-Ques suck.

ya, tires and paint burning make the marshmallows taste funny.

That tv will upconvert to 1080 it will look very close to 1080. And that is a super price. Hell I would pay that to use it on my computer.

TV broadcasting is only 720, gonna take a while before they make the switch to 1080

That is just straight up false. Most are 1080i. ABC and the ESPN HD channels are 720p due to less motion artifacting. (less blur with fast motion, prevelant in sports) Dish Network even has 1080p on demand.

720p is just fine. I bought my first set back in 2001, it was a 1080i rptv. I now have a 720p dlp. 720p looks better to me. I have friends and family with 1080p sets and it's hard to see much of a difference if any. It would make sense to go 1080p, but only if you're buying a set above 50" IMO.

plasma is the way to go. They have a better refresh rate which is well above a 120 hz lcd. There is just more hype right now about lcd so the price is higher. Also the original issues of the short tv life are gone. They last about the same
