jon_570 Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 i have a 1997 toyota corolla with a 4afe motor..i would like to swap to a 4AGZE motor..but well see.ne way..when it hits lift at about 40 in second i usually shift...well today i raced a friend for fun in his colt. and we were doing a rolling start at 35..i was still in second and when he honked i took off and i hit about 55-60mph in second and it hit the rev limiter for like a second and when i went to third it squealed wheels..sorry if this post seems kinda weird but i dont have a Tachometer in my car yet.. anyone else have a lil 4 banger beater? If it's squealin the tires though it must have some kinda balls already! who won the race? I can do that in my accord all the time. on flats its harder to keep it there. but if u want ur car to drive in redline for like 5 seconds go up a hill not to step but some incline and when ur accelerating ull be going like 80 90 and be in 7k rpm range Quote

I have hit red line a couple times at 8k rpms and once or twice went to about 8.3krpms before the rev limiter hit.
