CMFR1 Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 Ok so i plan on doing the big three tomarro and i was just wondering if 4 g wire would be fine i mean whats in there now is like 8ish so its a big improvement. the only reason im asking is because i have alot of 4 g laying around and if i dont need to i dont want to have to go by 1/0 so thanks for all imput...
eaglescorpio1 Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 what are you planning on putting in? If its just a 500 watt amp, i don't see why it would not be enough. If your putting in 2000 watts, go with the 1/0 gauge. Remember, its better to have more than enough when it comes to your big 3 and power distribution. And make sure all the connections are solid and to bare metal. Don't cut corners or it could be bad for ground noise and possibly for the equipment itself. Loud as f*ck, and sounds good doing it. CMFR1 Posted April 28, 2009 Author Report Posted April 28, 2009 O yea no cutting corners here. i like perfection. Um as far as what ill be running will be 2 dclv3 with a 1200 wat amp im guessing havnt bought one yet. i will also be putting a second batt. in the trunk.
