FiQ150db Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 Have a really odd issue which isn't making any sense to me. Replaced my Hammers with the DE3000 today, everything fitted securely and correctly and so forth. A number of issues have risen from this which just doesn't make sense to me. 1. Subs pop when the amps turn on and off 2. Subs pop when I brake, indicate or use any other circuitry in my car 3. Horrible alt whine in front comps, wasnt there before with Hammers 4. Even when I have the sub out to off, the subs are playing "something" they move now and again. New amp is set to Xover (instead of slave or sub sonic) gain pretty low, and all wires solidly connected, fused at 300a and terminated directly at the batteries (pos and neg) Any ideas ?
Red-navi-916 Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 hmm the only thing i can think of is your rca's i had a poping problem like that before too when i would push the break it would pop and turn the car on they would pop then i replaced my rca's and it was all good check the connection maybe one of your rca's is loose or if not the replace them.. i ran a zx500.1 or zr. for got one of those and the channels on it broke so everytime i would turn even my ignition on the subs would start popping like popcorn so i ripped evetything out.. but anyway i can only think of the rca's really BUILDLOG http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=61862 "98crewcab"Never a POS....just always "a work in progress" lol that's how we roll bitches!!!
