Amp For Mids/highs?

i have ks650's in all my doors just running off the head unit Alpine CDA-9883

the speakers power ratings are 65W RMS and 195 Max

would they sound better if i put +-65watts on each vs. whatever the head unit puts out at higher volumes? will the speakers just keep getting louder instead of getting distorded at a lower listening level?

is it worth it to purchase an amp?

Cant go wrong with a RF 4 channel or DAT or sundown.

imo, 65rms is really pushing those (i had ks by9's in my friends car and blew em in a week with 75 watts)

if you got a good like 50x4rms amp and hooked it up, it would be clearer and louder (right now that deck sends out like 12wrms)

i'd reccomend it personally....good amps arent that expensive honestly, so why the hell not? 9and if that deck has internal amp cancel option, lower distortion through rca's and more current available for it as well, double bonus)

cool that's what i was thinking, i already have all the power/ground wire for it, i'd only need rca's really

so it's good to know they dont handle alot of power, i'll probably do around 60 watts or so to keep them going, i've had them for over a year so it'll be good for them

what are some of the good amps out there for it that you guys would reconmend? kicker, sundown, hifonics, rockford... i'm trying to do this for cheap also
