brsteinbach
2 or 3, I have #3 in my 1997 grand am and it sounds good, Its just a really small trunk FTL . So that makes the low crappy but everything else is fine. Oh and BTW I had #2 sounded the same obviously since the ports just in the middle, but it was tuned to 45hz so that was gone asap (got the box for free). troy
I am just going with what I know works. Subs up port forward got me a 148.6 off of 2000 watts. Just need to make sure you got about 10 inches from the trunk lid. However, subs and ports forward will pound like hell too. i tried that today and it sounded like it canceled out. the best results ive had so far was everything to the rear. brsteinbach
my trunk isnt exactly small but the opening kinda limits box size Thats pretty much my problem but I can't fit a box through the back seats because the opening is only 12" tall cause the seats fold down. lol. banginAltima
If you use aero ports it won't take up as much space as a slot port so you can make a smaller box. 4 inch aeros are only like 13 bucks each... banginAltima
ok so subs up forward port. how do you tune a box with aero ports Same way as slot ports, by the length. Two 4 inch ports would work fine for two 12 inch CRV's. In a 4 cubic foot box just cut one of the straight sections in half for a tune around 34 hz. This is a 4 cubic foot box that I built for a guy with two 12's and two 4 inch aero's. Quote If you build it, db's will come...
