There are a ton of math skills involved in car audio. Box volume, port area, displacement, calculating wattage, impedance, efficiency, etc. Ask someone to explain quarter wave theory to you and see how much math is involved there. Or try and calculate port tuning in long hand without an online calculator to do it for you.
