Got_Bass89
So I was looking at some tweeters and some are normal 4ohm or 8ohm but some don't list an ohm load at all... I got a pair of hella cheapos that came free when I ordered 1/0 ring terminals and they have no ohm load either.. My guess would be that its just high ohm tweeter that wont make different in load on amp? Donno.. What you guys think? Don't know much bout tweeters... tacomabanga1986
the reason why it dont run a ohm load is because of the resistor/capasitor xover inside of it blockin it from showin any ohm loads, none of my tweets like that have shown a ohm load, and do not affect an ohm load ona amp, i got a set of 4ohm kicker ks 6&1/2'' componits and coax and a set of q-power chrome tweets ran to a memphis pr150.2 and my ohm load is 2.2ohm so the tweets have no affect, and i think this is because when u run a comp set it aint runnin @ 2ohm but @ 4ohm because the coil is alot bigger on the mid than the tweet and alot smaller wire to go threw prolly why it dont show any form of ohm load, but on bigger tweets like bullets n what knot are alot more complex and hence why they show a ohm load, basicly a tweet works just like a woofer but there short on xmax, thats why they cant play below 2500htz i think due to to much movement, a tweeter does move but really fast, thats why theres more tech behind tweet magnets because theres not enulf movement to keep them cool im not by any way an expert on anything but i kno a few things from pittling around here n there, and those cheap tweets are 4ohm but the risistor cancles it out due to how its intergrated, so its basicly there but does no change in ohm load, u can try hooking it up in with another speaker n checkin and still only read that one speakers ohm load hope this helps Quote here's a link to my system 99 toyota tacoma , 2 mtx 8000 1504's in a sealed downfire , 1000w memphis amp here's a link to my other system my 90 geo prizm test car heres a thread i got of new songs u can dl that are legal = Some Good Bangage/you Can Dl These Free And Legit
