Difference Between Wattage And Ohms?

Sorry, this is a noob question..i'm brand new to all this. Can someone tell me the difference in this?

250W x 1 @ 4-Ohms RMS

500W x 1 @ 2-Ohms RMS

1000W x 1 @ 1-Ohm RMS

at a 4 ohm load, the amp gives out 250rms, 2 ohms, 500rms, etc

But whats the difference? sound quality? which one is better?

they are related, in that if you lower the ohm load on the speaker output of the amp , the amp will put out more watts. Assuming the amp can deliver into that ohm load and not burn up. Ohm load is dictated by the speaker you select.

typically the specs of an amp, as far as distortion get higher as the ohm load drop and the qulaity goes down. Can you hear a difference not sure, but it can me measured. For a bass amp i would select speakers that allowed me to maximize its output in watts, or in my mind, your wasting your money.

the lower resistance you run is also gonna put more of a drain on the electrical components of your car.
