wL<3bass Posted May 15, 2009 Report Share Posted May 15, 2009 Universal means that it will accept a D1 or D2 coil b/c each coil has a different thickness universal allows you to later recone to a different ohm load if you need......otherwise the motor will be optimized for that coil forever. So basically get universal b/c you never know if you gonna need to change the ohm load.
