Its black with small white speckles in it...they make a medium gray color too. Locally but its called duplicolor spatter paint you can buy it of the net I'm sure....it runs around $7 a can....I hit my box with body filler, primer, flat black base, and then the duplicolor otherwise the mdf absorbed the paint like a sponge......if your have never painted mdf you'll you find out how much it absorbs paint...so you want ALOT of primer....both of those boxes took 5 cans of primer, 3 cans of flat black, and 3 cans of spatter paint...yeh painting definitely costs more than carpeting...but the finish is worth it IMO. buddlydudly8989 Posted May 19, 2009 Author Report Share Posted May 19, 2009 yeah i would rather have my box lookin sweet like yours then carpet.. i hate that stuff.. but if ya can do it right it looks good... yeah all i would have to do is buy the duplicolor paint because we got most of the other paint at the shop...ill check out my local napa/ carquest/ ace. to see if they have some...
