thehoe92
How do you get a song from iTunes onto Audacity? Something won't let me do it right; I get about a half second of what sounds like screaming banshees. I just tried importing something I put on my comp from a CD and had no issues. right click the song in itunes and say open in explorer then from explorer right click and say open with audacity. its the long way to do it but thats the way I do it and it works. thehoe92
are you sure that you are importing your songs from your CD as MP3's? Quote Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple
white4d96
The one that worked is listed as a WAVE audio file. the one that didn't is listed as an MPEG-4 audio file? Quote Too many projects, too little time...
thehoe92
.mp4 is itunes locked version of an audio file. that won't work with audacity. .mp3, .wav, and .m4a will work from my experience. Quote Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple
white4d96
Is there any way to unlock it? Quote Too many projects, too little time...
thehoe92
Is there any way to unlock it? burn it to an mp3 cd and then import it as an mp3. you lose the itunes quality but now you can work with it. every song I have downloaded lately is m4a which means that I can import it. rarely do I get an mp4...actually it might be m4p. either way you can't use it lol. BigJohnny
when using the compressor what would be good settings to change? I've been using it with it's default settings and just pressing ok.
