Quick Question

in my friends avy we wired his d4 l7's in parallel to 4 ohms mono on his pdx1000... he says they are both getting 1000 watts because they are wired like that...now is he wrong or right.?

each sub will be getting 4ohm power, divided by the number of subs... IE 1000@4ohm and 2 subs = 500 per sub.

thank you thats all i needed....i been telling him that but he still seems to think each is getting 1000

wire them down to 1 ohm(if the amp can handle 1 ohm) and you will get more power but still only half to easch sub

Why wire them to one ohm if the amp puts out rated power at four ohms? That's just putting unneccessary strain on the electrical.

wire them down will give them more power and make them louder what it the out put on his amp at 1 ohm

so its 1000 at 1 or 4 ohm?

the alpine amps give out the same power at 2 and 4 ohms iirc. not 1 ohm stable.

PDX1000 isn't stable to 1 ohm
