_AnGeL_ Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 ok the other day my amp was acting weird, my speakers would make a really high pitched hiss and the amp would go into protect and then it would hiss every 10-15 secs.... so i thought it might've been a wire grounding out or a pinched rca. i take off my door panels check all the wires and check my rca wire and everything is fine. i disconect to RCA wire from the HU and leave it connected to the amp, when ever i touch one of the rca i get a real bad noise put nothing happens when i touch the other side.... i think my amp took a shit but im not sure, anyone ever had this happen to them before??? the amps a kicker kx150.2 Head Unit: Pioneer Premier Deh-600ub Front Stage: (2) Whip Audio 8" Mid-Bass (2) Whip Auido 6" Mid & (2) Audiopipe ATX-3720 Amps: (2) Cadence TXA300-4 Amp Kit: Knukonceptz Coming Soon: already ordered Sub: 2 DD T1508's Amp: Sundown saz-1500 Tired of the lag? Noobtastic14 Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 Put a DMM on the amp and make sure its reading solid voltage. last time i had those symptoms my rear bat was disconnected from the charging wire and the amp was running on very low voltage -Drew I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional. _AnGeL_ Posted June 15, 2009 Author Report Posted June 15, 2009 bump, i did some more testing on the amp yesterday, its only one channel doing the noise, the other channel works fine. so im guessing one of the channels is fuxord? or could it be the rca input on the amp?
