banginAltima Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 Building a box for a single new style 15 inch BTL. Question is the website says mounting depth is 8.75 inches. He told me 9.5 inches... I don't know what options he has, is there one that makes the depth 9.5? Thanks Quote If you build it, db's will come... RamenNoodles Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 Im thinking that maybe he is measuring the full length of the BTL from surround to the bottom of the motor. he might not be considering that the top of the basket, surround and gasket are outside of the box. Other then that, the motor size is the same no matter what options you throw at it. Quote Diablo Audio Technologies Fi Car Audio Ascendant Audio
RamenNoodles Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 And I would follow the websites mounting depth, especially coming directly from them. Quote Diablo Audio Technologies Fi Car Audio Ascendant Audio
rumproast789 Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 Are you sure its the new one? I think the older BTL had a bigger mounting depth Quote 2002 ford explorer 200 amp rewound alt single 18" Fi btl fully loaded 2 1750's 2 c&d tech 88amp/hr batts 2 ought wiring cdt component set up front, cdt coaxials in back Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X693
Decaf Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 3rd slug option would add depth maybe, so maybe old BTL Quote
