Jared420
depends on the company you buy the alternator from, iraggi, dc alts, theres a bunch out there that people run on the forum. but its all gonna cost around $300 or so. 300 for just the alternator or alt and battery? also how hard is it to put in one of those alternators, would i need it professionally done? alvitae
Not a fan of capacitors myself. Even of they do help there are better and cheaper ways to go. The cheapest electrical upgrade you can do is the big 3. It's usually where you start. The one here is my favorite big 3 tutorial. alvitae
So basically just thicker wire from the alt to battery? and this will help with voltage drop and put out more power? That and upgrading grounds. People that are new to audio frequently underestimate the grounds. It is just as if not more important than power I've found. I've got my biggest gains, And also biggest headaches from the grounds.
Guest
So basically just thicker wire from the alt to battery? and this will help with voltage drop and put out more power? - Positive from battery to positive from alternator - Negative from battery to ground - Engine block to ground not put out more power per se, but making your electrical system more efficient...which in turn would put out more power yea lol
