wait, what blew? the mid or the tweet? you do know the x-overs have light-bulb fusing in them to protect the tweet right? check that - also, you might want to scope that amp and set the gains properly if you are going thru mids and highs frequently like that. If your within RMS and your NOT clipping, speakers are hard to break.

oh and i dont know how loud your trying to get, but maybe the answer isnt so much a brand change as it is maybe adding more mids/highs. Your only gonna get so much out of 1 pair of seperates bro...

OK UPDATE........ I took off the door panel (passenger side) to get a closer inspection of the woofer, and upon looking at it, pushing in its cone, all seemed well. What broke is the crossover! This set of components uses a triangular shaped x-over and once I had the crossover in my hand, it was clear what was the problem. There was 2 broken off caps inside (had to be from vibration) I was able to solder one back on, and I dropped the other one, and cant find it anywhere. Is it possible to just be able to purchase just one x-over from RF, OR BETTER YET, COULD THIS ONE X-OVER BE WARRANTIED?

I love my staffie :good:

So anti FACEBOOK it isn't even funny
