Brody57 Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 Hey guys my name is Brody. Im from the northeastern part of Oklahoma. I currently have a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon and i am building a comp setup in it. I have all parts except for my mid range right now. Still unsure what midrange i will go with. I have all the box materials ready to go to start building. My box will be 7 cubic foot tuned at 33 or 34 hrtz. It will be ported. OK, now to the good stuff.....i will be running 1 RE MX 18 with dual 1 ohm voicecoils. I currently have a 2500 watt 1 ohm stable amp by Quantum Audio. I intend to later find a 1/2 ohm stable amp to push my sub even harder than it will be. i am running 0 gauge wire for my ground and power wire. Any other suggestions just let me know. Thanks guys. It is the Cozmik series. Just thought i would post up and see what everyone thought...NOW to the pics of the begginning of the build!! Brody57 Posted June 15, 2009 Author Report Posted June 15, 2009 how far are you from Tulsa? i had mine rebuild here and i asked him to make it a little beefier, so when he benched it after it was about 140 amps at 1300rpm's. only cost like 120 im barely an hour from Tulsa..its not a bad drive at all man..i looked at Irragi and DC both and neither had an alternator for a hyundai/kia..i may have to get mine beefed up like what was stated above...i dont think i could use the OEM one but i might if i get enough batteries #roadto150s
Brody57 Posted June 18, 2009 Author Report Posted June 18, 2009 ok so i ordered all my mids and highs today..im gonna run Audio pipe 6.5s in the doors, i am running 2 inch tweeters in the dash, 2 6x9s in the back in boxes, a set of 6s in the rear panels and it will all be ran off of a 500-600 watt amp..not sure which brand yet..still looking at them to decide..i will have some more pictures up when we start the install.. #roadto150s
