And I want it to be just for spl only so I can get the highest number possible. I am going to be powering the btl with 2 memphis 4kw's strapped. And will only be doing burps. What size and tuning do I need to go for? You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.
smokeumtires Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 You could go bigger like 8 cubes but in my experience they have more spl in the higher HZ range when in the minimum size enclosure tuned higher

smokeumtires Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 Ive played around with mine.. 3KW RMS and a 5 Cube box but tuning was a lil lower(34)... The BTL loves the 40hz range in my truck. With only 1 I scored a 148.9 in my extra cab diesel

smokeumtires Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 Thats about right... all depends on the vehicle. You might even score higher with that amount of watts. BTLs can handle a shitload for a short time. Youll be impressed
