Cuseikan
Tune higher. Much higher. EDIT: I mean 55hz+ high. Well I guess it depends on the vehicle but hey. If you only make 147 off a 18" BTL with 8kw then you're doing something terribly wrong. This ought to be a 'relatively' easy 150. What's the vehicle? Have you tested the resonant frequency of it at all? Anyone suggesting an exact tuning number without asking that isn't going for a pure numbers 1 note wonder. Good stuff here^^^ Your going to have to do alot of testing. Find out the cars freq with any available system you currently have, just to save on wood for your final build. Justin
This has not been built yet. Im just trying to find out what needs to be done for what im trying to do. And that is to get the highest number possible on the setup I will have. If your gonna go for daily this is not what you want to do. 99 2dr Blazer Kenwood KVT-614 SounDigital SD16k 4 Fi BTL 18s 4 hertz high energy 6.5s comps 4 stock ad244 alts 6 g31s batts 8 runs 0ga

Kian
well when you use a ported box that box is tuned to a specific frequency, in a sealed box it is not tuned to a certain frequency. thats all i know about finding the resonate frequency of the vehicle. --------------------------------------------------------------- Club 150 (15x.x) Youtube Future Build: 1x 15" T3 TSNS 2x Sundown Audio SAZ3000d Parellel strapped
Cuseikan
When your doing the sweep make sure the sub woofer is in a sealed enclosure. What he said. Any sub will do, sweep it a few times and capture the peak freq and go from there. Check youtube too for any vids of people putting up numbers in your vehical. See what freq they're doing it at and compare to your test.
