Gps Hard Wiring

ok i found the perfect spot for my gps but i have to have the power cable running across my dash and that sucks. does any one know a good place i could tap in for power for it? i need it so it only gets power when the key is on.

depending where your fuse panel is at (on my tahoe its on the drivers side, side part of the dash) you can just fuse tap off an accessory 12v lead. Should be pretty easy to do. Hell, you can run a ground in there too.

really? hmm...well then. Where ever you splice it into make sure its fused. Friend of mine did that with his GPS like 1 day after getting it and fried it because he didn't fuse it. Warranty wouldn't take it back lmao.
