Would that be sufficient to solder ring terminals on large guage wire?

No idea. Here's the description:

* Butane gas refillable

* Manual ignition

* Adjustable flame

* Wind resistant flame

* 2372º Fahrenheit flame and 752º Fahrenheit soldering temperature

* Comfortable grip with easy to use controls

* Brass soldering tip

Tip: 1/2" L x 1/4" diameter; Hot knife: 3/4" L x 1/4" W

Dumb question but you can use any butane fuel correct? (Like a Zippo butane refill)

I went and got a pencil trch at harbor freight today and yes they use that kind of butane. Sad thing is, I still had to go to Home Depot to cop some butane. Could have just bought a pen torch from there for $10 but the Harbor Freigt one worked good. Tomorrow: soldering 4 gauge ring terminals.

Probably a noob question but if I bought this SOLDER TOOL, would I be able to solder two 16gauge wires together or would it be to much heat?

And I could solder the 1/0 to a ring terminal?

Thanks Greg

if your gonna solder bigger stuff like 1/0, you need something more like a soldering torch. lowes has some good ones in the plumbing department. i personally use a MAC tools soldering torch that uses cigarette lighters for fuel. the MAC tools torch is also small enough that you can solder smaller stuff with it too.
