blackhole Posted June 18, 2009 Report Posted June 18, 2009 i am about to install 16 5.25's in my doors and i'm having trouble finding the volume needed behind each one to get the best sound from them. there will be 4 of them in each door. (4 doors) the speakers are audiobahn dub 5.25 two way 80rms. the dub 250 series. im making them into closed enclosure (not blowing into the door) and as im custom making all the door panels i cant se a reason not to make the closures of the right size. i have 4 15's in the back for fun blasting but i really want my system to be SQ while doing road trips as i do allot of towing long distances with my 1987 pajero (montero) i was as well wondering what would be the best way to wire the speakers and what kind of amp i should get for SQ? will the speakers work well wired 2 and 2 in series and the 2x2 in paralell for 4ohm to the amp? if anyone could point me to a thread made on similar setup it would be great. thanx

blackhole Posted June 18, 2009 Author Report Posted June 18, 2009 For SQ go ahead and get rid of coaxials and audioblah....that one place to start. well i already have those speakers and as i live in iceland i must pay more than twice the amount in dollars for everything so the high end stuff is simply out of my price range. and talking about SQ i'm not going to compete with this stuff but i want it to sound as good as possible. so on topic. can anyone help with the volume the speakers need to sound the best they can?
