Florida heat Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 lol because i cant and afford dynamat iv'e bought some sound insulation from b-quiet. i plan on putting a fully loaded FI BTL 18 in the back seat of my 2001 hyundai elantra and i pretty much covered all there is to cover on the interior. i pulled the carpet and seats and the same with the trunk. Im wondering what are the most important area's to cover. now even though i want the sub to be in the back seat rather than the trunk i know that the trunk will more than likely still rattle to no end so i know i need to take care of that but as far as everything else goes i really want to do a good job. im worried about the doors shaking real bad and because iv'e never had a system producing this much bass im just not sure on what to do. if people can help me out with some of the weak points that i might need to cover or throw some extra layers on pleaseeee let me know!!! 4 sets of JL vr (discontinued) 6.5 components 4 JL wo 15" 2 JL/J2 1000.1 Alpine v power 400x4 Kenwood h/u all in a hyundai

thehoe92 Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 the floor is mainly for comfort quiet. the doors will be the main flex along with the trunk. make sure you get that license plate lol. and deadening in the doors helps out mids and highs greatly Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple

thehoe92 Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 try to put as much on the metal that is touching the actual door panel that way you don't have to put it directly on the door panel. if you can't get the whole door then make sure you get some directly behind the door speaker. I only bought 12 sq feet and used it behind the speaker and in the a-pillars behind the tweeters and it made a huge difference in sound. then I got 12 for each door and stopped flexing and some vibrating and rattling.
