Like the title said.. I have 2 P2 12's in a custom box I built and it was tuned to 33hz. I use the RE Box designer to get the dimensions I needed and it did a lot better then the Rockford Box that the P2 12's came in. So I find this great deal on some Punch Power pro 10's.. they came in two separate boxes that dident even give them 1 cubic foot so I figured I would make another board to fit the top of the box I just made and make that board for 2 10's. I was giving the 10's about 2.2 Cubic Foot a piece in my box .

I will be dammed those 10" subs sounded better then the 2 P2 12's at the same wattage..

2 Punch Power 10's > 2 P2 12's

so I guess I will keep the 10's in there for now because when I get my T10001bd amp the 10's will be able to take the power...the p2 12's cant.

My friend that use to compete in shows thought that I might be doing 130db with the 10's right now. and that is with a P6002 amp on them giving each sub 300 RMS... now how much of an improvement will I see when I am putting 500 possibly 550 RMS to each sub?

You probably are. I did a 133.1 with 2 P2 10's in a sealed box, built a ported one and did a 136.8 & used a 450 watt amp for both, only actually had 225 watts though. So your friend could very well be correct.

Current System:

Pioneer 6900 HU

Front Stage: (for now)

Soundstream tarantula 5.25 in the doors

Soundstream tarantula 4x6 in the dash

Kenwood 400.4 for mids & highs

Bass:

4 Soundstream RW-12's

2 Power Acoustik Stax 4000/1D's

single chamber box, 2.65 cubes.

Currently under the knife being bagged

Do you remember what your ported box dimensions were?

I thought that my ported box for 2 twelves would have been too big for the 10's but they sound very good in that box.

Like I said I went from 2 12in P2 12's to 2 10" Punch Power series 10's

My box size after displacement for the twelves was 2.1cf

So I figured I would be giving the 10's Probably 2.2cf - 2.3cf tops.

I cant find any info on the 10" Subs since they don't make them anymore

52" wide

3 5/8" deep @ top

9" deep @ bottom

used .5 mdf with a single partition.

1.72 cubes per chamber before displacement.

1.54 cubes after post & sub displacement.

Ports:

1.2" height X 10" wide X 7.88" long tuned @ 41 Hz

Current System:

Soundstream tarantula 4x6 in the dash

Kenwood 400.4 for mids & highs

So do you think I could get more out of these Subs if I rebuild a box for 1.75 cubes after displacement?

Do you think 2.2 Cubes is to much for 10's?

I think this is it in BassBox pro

Double post noob stuff :(

RF says you need, (internal dimensions of course)

10" .59 cubes sealed, 1.40 cubes ported @ 40.1 Hz

12" 1.02 cubes sealed, 1.79 ported @ 39.5 Hz

I think That in the right enclosure ported or sealed, yes you could probably get more out of them. I liked the sound of the ported enclosure more, not to mention it was louder.

My 12's were P2's

The 10's are Punch Power DVC

Does the same volume apply to these?
