3-way active ?????

how would one go about doing this?

Hu is a pioneer deh 600ub

i will be running a 8" mid bass, 6" mid and a tweeter per door

amp would probably be a mb quart dsc 4125 for mid bass/mid

and a small amp for tweeters

so im guessing i would probably have to buy a seperate xover to go 3 way active correct??? also what would be a good starting point as far a crossing over midbass, mid range and tweets? hope someone could help me out

Unless you buy higher end SQ amps with in-built crossovers to ~5k then you'll need another crossover.

I would probably go ~300hz and ~3.7khz depending on the drivers you're using.

6" mid paired with a 8" mightn't be ideal, you really want a lighter-weight driver like a 3-4" dome driver to handle the mids, also makes it easier to mount up high with your tweeter to bring the soundstage up.

A really REALLY good tweeter but I agree, the lower you can pull your tweeter point the better it tends to sound.

Large format tweeters for the win here

If only the RF360.2 could do it, the only way it can is with mono'd midbass running off the center channel

I cut my hertz tweets at 1.3k@48db with 140 rms class a

lol.

I love the sound down there but get multiple imaging points

most mid level tweets will hang at 2.2k

ie: focal tn52 Mille 280's

for the best image they should be crossed at 3k for most installs

but with 3way I think he'd be fine at 2.4-2.5 ish

running a small mid will help too
