TyC2010
Hi everyone, my names Ty and i am looking for some help from all you audio experts out there haha. I have a 1999 Cadillac escalade. It has the 1.5 Din factory HU in it still. Iv been told from people about removing the HU and moving the A/C controls to the glove box or center console. I want to put a double Din pioneer touch screen in that place. I dnt know how this would work or even if it will, but some help or hints to doing this would be very helpful. Thank you all. TyC2010
Will the Double Din HU fit in the opening? Would there be any mods needed done?
John
There will be modifications if you want to put a 2 din headunit in. A lot of bondo work and you will also have to make a mounting bracket for the headunit. Hey man thanks for the pic what I was looking around at is you could put the AC controls into the center console and then thall free up the space for the headunit that should be easy to do and could you possibly post a pic of the center console so I can do some drawings and itll make more sense to you. jmitch
that looks just like mine its not to hard to do but its doable the hardest part is trimming the inside part where the AC was located it a lil narrower there but u can do it.
