So the sub he has is a dc lvl 2 12 which is a d4 ohm. I wired it to 2 ohms for the amp. Amp is an orion cobalt 500.1, the amp is on but we arent getting anything out of the sub... The upgraded head unit is a pioneer, Im sure everything is connected to the sub right. RCA cables are hooked up in the right spot too, I remember reading something about pioneers and RCA cables but I thought it made the sub make an odd noise. Soooo... Have you tried turning the subwoofer feature to ON on the pioneer headunit, or if its on try turning it up. All my old school Stinger King, Queen, and Dream series are like that, but havent noticed nothing with anything made after 1998. Could be wrong on that tho. can you get wiring harness' from say advance auto parts or something...?or does he have to order one online? You can get wiring kits at any audio shop in your city, Wal-mart, autozones, Advance autoparts, etc. But auto part stores and wal-marts only tend to carry a select few harness's.
