EricR Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 get a bicycle tire and cut a bunch of 1"x1" squares and put those between the amp and box. rubber spacers work too but if at all possible don't mount the amp to the box. i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?

Ben Building Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 When I have no choice but to mount an amp to an enclosure, I use strips of styrofoam between the amp and the box. You can cut them small enough to be invisible, but keep that amp's chassis off of the box itself. Also, use 1 small rubber washer on each screw holding the amp down.
