man merantz makes some killer radios, i got a 400w 4ch recever that will push damn nere anything i put on it, lmao, i had a phono stereo booster that i would hook from radio to radio to push more speakers, n it worked too, the first dual voice coil sub i ever had was a realistic radioshack 8'' n i thought i had it jammin till my cuzin put it on his jensen 300w 2ch amp n that shit was movein lol, goin from 25wrms to 150rms was a big step, i wished i know now back then, but then again they dont have the stuff now 10yrs ago

man oldschool caraudio was the shit back then, i had a set of optimus pro audio 12's ina 4cf sealed box n it wanged like hell, haha i had a old roadmaster 250w 2ch that i had took a wire that came from a cigerette lighter plug n took the pos wire, ran it to 12v on amp, then wired a jumper to the 12v, then wired the neg into the neg on the amp n pluged it into the cigerette lighter n it worked ok, distorted like hell but worked, i took the rear speaker wire n cut a set of rca's wired stright into em, then plugged em into the amp, man i had my 86 fire bird jammin lol

haha back in high school me and my buddy rode our skateboards all around before school started and we came across 2 tower speakers, 2 12s in each box. the boxes were pretty solid and the 12s i found out later was really 1 in each with a PR too. the surounds were bad tore foam but we mashed it up with rubber cement and i got one and he got one. cant remember the brand but the motors on them were sqaure lol, round speaker lol. they beat for just finding them at the end of somebodys driveway waiting for the garbage man lol. hell yeah im sure alot of us has been there...i might still be somewhat just for a slower day of fun

i had a set of those with a 6&1/2 or 8'' i think, i wondered why it was that loud n had a rattleing sound when i turned it up till i took the cover off n the surround was gone, but the speaker still sounded good

well, i'm back with collecting speakers thing! i am now up to 24 speakers in my room. not counting the blown ones i happen to keep for some odd reason. this means i have....

6 towers

around 3 or 4 6.5"s + tweeters

and then some odd number of 6.5"s and other sizes

so here are my latest pick ups! mind you, i'm only running 4 speakers off a 2 channel 15W aiwa player.

1 aiwa 6.5" woofer/mid/tweeter

2 fisher towers (tweeter/mid/8"woofer)

3 RCA 6.5"s

2 radioshack pyramid type speakers

a pioneer project 60A (8" woofer/tweeter)

here is the fisher tower! i have 2 of them.

this is the Aiwa 6.5" woofer/mid/tweeter

this is the RCA speaker. i have 3 of them i picked up. i think there were 4 of them, but 1 was missing.

and this is the radioshack speaker. i have 2 but only 1 works well. the only crackles. ALOT!

i sold my technics tower and my RCA and Sony 6.5"s. however i still have everything else. i also want to sell them as i go along, hoping to get up my money to start my first system. but i work with what i have and i love having these. gonna make a tower or something when i have free time just for looks.
