BassAddict32 Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 so i went to this auction kinda thing and when it was over, if anybody left anything, you could take it. so a few weeks ago when i went the first time, i picked up a setup of sony 6.5"s and mids, like for a home stereo. so i went back again and i got this old set of pioneers. i had NO idea what it had in them, but when i opened it, i found this. btw, the blue speakers you see are RCA. those are next to the sonys i have. i'll take pics of my home setup and post those up at a later time. and now that i have my camera working, i can take pics as i go along with getting my first system. i had the MDF board, and i have a picture of it, but they cut it wrong and it now has mold on it and whatnot. so i have to go get a new sheet of MDF board but once i do, i can start something on here hopefully. ohhh and one more thing, if your GFs mom asks you to help in a garden, and you have to use a groundhog thing, use gloves. i found out the hard way........ EDIT: ohh and the larger speaker is an 8", the smaller one is a 4" or so, and the smallest is like a 1.5" or 2". 1994 Ford F150 reg cab 2 HFX 12's Audiopipe APSM-1300

BassAddict32 Posted July 22, 2009 Author Report Posted July 22, 2009 okay, so since i seem to get some speakers at flea markets and yard sales and whatnot, i've decided to kinda make this my own thread about things i pick up. first it was the pioneers, which are still working and sounding great. now i went to goodwill and pick up this tower. it sounds like poo when turned up. i don't have a pic of the insides yet but i'm gonna blow this thing so i'll take off the back and put the pick up tomorrow. The Tower The 6.5" Woofer The 2" tweeter also, this is what i use for my room setup. it's not great, but not bad either. a sony (on the left) and RCA (on the right) are powered by a 300W mobile authority amp and PSU. crap, but it gets me through. $15 for the set of RCA's and i picked up the Sony's from a flea market for free. EDIT: what i didn't mention was that is i have another set of each on the other side of my computer. and the towers you see to the left of that pic, don't work. 1994 Ford F150 reg cab 2 HFX 12's Audiopipe APSM-1300
BassAddict32 Posted August 14, 2009 Author Report Posted August 14, 2009 so i went to a thrift store today, and i found this. it's awia. i've never heard of them before, but they sound nice. it was supposed to come with a subwoofer but didn't. but they sound nice for $10. CD, radio, and cassette. only 15W but not bad. something small but good enough for me. 1994 Ford F150 reg cab 2 HFX 12's Audiopipe APSM-1300

VistaV6 Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 Cant go wrong for 10 bucks. SUCCESS is a decision, NOT a dream. You have to name the price you are willing to pay to get it. "You didn't have an ice pick on you? Amateur. " -- Wax from Fchat.
