port length help

i wanted to know how to measure the length of the port if i have a curve in it http://www.hardwarestore.com/pop-print/lar...spx?prodNo=3939

how do i measure the length of that curve?

if the the bend is pretty round ....so find the radius and calculated the circumference of the full circle and divide by 4

the length is the center of the port so take that into consideration also

I had the same question earlier in the month and that was the answer I got. Worked well for my 33Hz tune on my box.

the best I could come up with is to use the pythagorean theorem.

a²+b²=c²

looking at the picture take the height of the curve on the right side and the length of the curve on the bottom side.

square both of those and that should give you c² then take the square root for an approximate length.
