2 - 12's, 4 - 10's, 1 - 15???

Recommended Posts

So I have 2 12" PowerBassXtreme 12's that are suppose to be rated at 500rms/1000max. They hit alright but I got the bug and I want to upgrade. I'm kind of short on cash so I either want to go 3 or 4 - 10's or 1 - 15. Do you think I'm better off sticking with 2 12's or moving to something else? Would it even matter? Any suggestions?

BTW, what do you think about these 10's? Seems cheap.

As of right now, for one 15, probably $200 for right now. I have a Sounstream Picasso mono block 1000rms 1ohm, 800rms 2 ohm. Any suggestions on a 15"?

now why are you guys saying 1 15, or 2 12's and not even mentioning the 4 10's? the 4 tens have more cone area then either of the other choices. and 4 tens can and will get just as low as the other's. i had a single 18 in my blazer, then i switched out to the 4 tens. the 4 tens are louder, hit lower, and sound better. so i say the 4 tens.

So if I went 4 of those RE Sr10's powered by a single Soundstream Picasso 1000watt @ 1 ohm Amp, would it be good? I'm sort of on a budget until I can sell my current stuff. I only mention the Sr10's because with 4 of them, I still need the trunk space.

You got the 3xl 12's? Or 2xl? 2xl is 450rms 900

peak 3xl is 850rms 1700 peak. Don't know about

200 for a descent 15. I'd save up. Is it in a ported

box? I just ask because I sell and install a lot of

PowerBass and was thinking about running there

4xl 15 competition woofer. 2500 rms 10,000 burst.

But hefty price tag even with dealer cost bout 700 bucks.
