SQMonte
i like fiberglassing.i dont measure it out i just pour it in. the bondo brand is thick already, but the us composites stuff is thin and has a long pot life and with how hot it was today.. i wouldnt have been outside fiberglassing lol I contemplated just pouring it in, but I don't have anywhere near the experience to be able to do that so I went by the book with my mixture. Yeah, the resin is hella thick, I'd say like the consistency of honey. I think it would be much more user friendly to use a thinner resin, at least for as small a job as I did today. Thinner mat would have been nice too. When I bought the mat I didn't consider how flexible it would or wouldn't be, I just assumed once the resin soaked in it would conform to whatever shape I needed it to. Boy was I wrong.Yeah, it was brutal being in the garage glassing. But I got it done. Now I just gotta cut out the holes in the actual amp rack, sand and paint it and it's ready to go.
