But would it give the 800 @ 2 ohms that it claims to do? The review on the bottom says it is but reviews aren't trustworthy. I'm just trying to get a cheap amp to power my Pioneer Premiers at home. thehoe92 Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 talked to a friend who does some home audio installs for the folks in his town and says he has used pyle home audio amps before. he said that the one thing that he likes most about them is the cooling. played on the amp for hours and it was still cool. plus he said they scream with the right speakers. give it a try its not that much for a 3000 watt amp. Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple
Boon Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 8A fuse so.... 110v x 8A = 880w PROBABLY class A/B so maybe 65% efficient = 572w So maybe 300w/channel if you're lucky. Also signal/noise ratio on it is terrible, like 78dB, 100db+ is common so it probably sounds dirty... As an rough indication, my 2x70 Pioneer amp says on the back that it pulls 500w from the wall... Inefficient as hell, but it sounds nice 10.x volts fo' life!
Cr@sh Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 Believe it or not Pyle home stuff isnt bad at all. I have used older versions of there products and I plan on buying a couple of these myself for my 7.1 setup. My old install at cardomain, never finished!
