Forevrbumpn Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 Selling my Sherwood receiver because I just bought myself the receiver I have been wanting for 9 years now. This Sherwood, is there flagship model from 99'-2000 and was one of the first affordable DTS models on the market in that time period $1400 retail This is the Newcastle line up, just like Excelon for Kenwood, or ES for Sony or the Reference ES line, it has 2 digital in, 4 in all together, 100wx5, and very good shape 2 draw backs though 1) no remote, I seen them online for about $50-80 2) 1 of the feet is missing Other than that, if you just need to power speakers, very cleanly, this is a very good receiver for the job Also, Iam getting rid of my tv stand I made about 2 years ago, it houses 11 speakers, right/center/front, and sounds damn good Its 4ohms right and left, and 6 ohms middle I have never had any problems with any receivers over heating, shutting off with these ohms loads, not with the Sherwood stated above, or the old Harman Kardon AVR 5 I had for 9 years before I sold it So, I would like $400 OBO for both units For the entertainment system, I will even make a grill to help hide the speakers if thats what you want, some people like the speakers showing, I dont know Anyways Receiver $125 obo Entertainment center $325 OBO The stand obviously CANT be delivered, its about 200lbs any questions, feel free to ask here, so I dont have to keep answering the same questions in PMs over and over again Also, all the drivers in the stand are all Vifa, danish made quality speakers I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
