Or someone took a piece of sandpaper to it...it's like faded gray? Otherwise, looks nice and I bet it slams! it looks like they only had painted caps and had to remove the paint off of it.edit: my first set of 18s were not painted and dark. the 18 i just got looks the same as his. thats why i said in his other thread to clear coat it.
