fischy fisch
just because your box is tuned to those frequencies does not mean that will be the loudest note.my box is tuned to around 31hz but due to cabin rise my loudest note is around 40-41hz. what you should really do is when you go to the show ask to play some sweeps and find what your loudest note is. from there choose your song. yes if is a bigger show the judge might have a cd with sweeps on it if you dont but if your peak is higher that that there lil jon bitch that peaks at 49hz and bass mekaniks bass mekanik is like 52 or 53hz lil jon bitch is right at 49hz and it has 30+seconds of bass i use it when i bass race Edited July 23, 2009 by fischy fisch Quote lol. but i haven't and i don't plan on it. plus i'd probably miss and hit her belly button or her ear or something. lol. thehoe92
cue up the song you want to play right before the bass hits. pause it and watch the leaderboard for go then play. be very light on your bass adjustment it doesn't take much to get .1db if you are doing 29.9's class. 39.9 you need to get a little better of a start to get up quick enough so you aren't rushing yourself. 49.9 is critical to get a good start. thehoe92
well there will be a qualifying run where you try to get, in your case, 39.9 by the end of 30 seconds. since its qualifying you can go over or under and mess around but by 15 seconds you should be within 2 db of your final score. if it is a big event and there are more than 8 people competing in one class and you have the lowest score of that class then you cannot compete so make sure you get as close to 39.9 as possible. also gives you a feel of what it will sound like and how to achieve that score without going over. once your start brackets you will be going against someone. if you are way under and you can't get up or something realllly bad happens I'm sure the judge will give you another run as long as the other person is ok with it. by the time you reach 5 seconds be no more than .3db away to be safe.
